Physical Description Kor’ai is a striking woman in her mid fifties yet still very much in her prime, standing just over six feet tall with the proud, upright bearing of a warrior trained since childhood. Her build is athletic and powerful, the result of a lifetime spent in combat drills and battlefield service, yet she moves with a fluid grace that belies her size.

Her skin is a deep, warm brown, often catching the light with a bronze sheen. Kor’ai’s hair is long and tightly braided into cords, often interwoven with subtle silver beads—remnants of her time in Bastet’s guard, where such adornments signified rank and favor. She usually keeps her braids bound back for practicality in battle, but when off duty, she sometimes wears them loose around her shoulders.

The most distinctive mark she carries is the tattoo on her forehead: a bold, black stylized cat’s face, once the proud sigil of Bastet. Unlike many Jaffa who conceal or scar over such marks, Kor’ai bears hers openly. To her, it is not a symbol of slavery, but a reminder of where she came from and how far she has risen.

Ambitions To one day see all Jaffa free of the Goa’uld.

Personal History Kor'ai was born on Bubastis, one of Bastet's primary holdings. Her family was as loyal as any Jaffa to their ‘God’ and was proud of that. From childhood, Kor’ai was trained in the arts of war, chosen early for her prowess in combat and unwavering loyalty. Bastet, unlike some other Goa'uld, cultivated an image of refinement and subtlety. She surrounded herself with female Jaffa chosen for their discipline and skill, and Kor'ai became one of her favored warriors. However, Kor’ai’s entire world was shattered when her god Bastet was killed by the System lord Ba’al, completely changing not only hers, but her family’s perception of the Goa’uld as gods. Filled with rage from being deceived for so long, Kor’ai refused to serve under a ‘False God’ again, forcing her to leave her family and flee from Ba’al.

While on the run Kor’ai found herself on the world of the Sodan, a group of Free Jaffa who threw off their gods long ago. Being brought before the Sodan leader, Kor’ai asked to be allowed to join the Sodan, forswearing Bastet and the Goa’uld as false gods and swearing herself to the Sodan cause. After a few days of discussion, the leader agreed to take her in, but Kor’ai had to prove herself just like any other Sodan warrior. Through combat.

Using her training and feline style of Jaffa combat, Kor’ai managed to prolong the fight to the point it was called a draw and she was accepted for training.

It was during this time when she would meet a Sodan male, ho’dah, who was to be her teacher in the ways of the Sodan. Although she struggled with the lessons at first, Ho’dah was patient yet strict enough to get through to her. It was through his dedication to her that Ho’dah won Kor’ai’s heart. After a few months of courting one another, the pair married and eventually had a daughter who they named Ish’tala.

During a raid to recover symbiotes for her new people, Kor’ai came across a team of humans in strange green clothing. They didn’t appear to be in the service of any of the Goa’uld, but she chose to observe them cloaked by the Sodan cloaking device until they left through the Stargate.

Catching the address, Kor’ai recognised the address as the world of the Tau’ri. A world thought lost centuries ago. Returning to the Sodan leadership with this information, Kor’ai advocated for making contact with the Tau’ri, as if they truly were the people who threw off Ra’s rule, they could be powerful allies to the Sodan.

Hesitant at first, the leaders agreed to allow Kor’ai alone to approach the Tau’ri, leaving her husband and daughter behind in case this proved to be a trick by Ba’al or another System Lord. Taking up her old Jaffa Armour, Kor’ai left her adoptive people behind and sought out the Tau’ri.
